These workshops provide a good opportunity for people who want try woodworking for the first time, and for others who want to hone their hand-tool skills. You will be encouraged to begin with uncomplicated projects, and add complexity as your skills develop, but you are free to build what you like. Hiring a Building Contractor

We have all heard them: stories of home renovation projects gone bad. It doesn't need to be this way, however. It is possible for everything to go smoothly and as planned, but in order for that to happen you need to understand and prepare for what you are getting yourself into.

In this class I will help you begin to understand the homeowner-contractor relationship and how to set things up so everyone wins. It is far better to anticipate possible pitfalls and steer clear of them, than to wait until things fall apart and start looking for help. With significant experience as a contractor, a housing rehab specialist, a certified building inspector, and a homeowner who occasionally hires contractors to work on my home, I have a unique perspective from which to coach you on your next construction experience.
